Annual Marriage Retreat @ Crowne Plaza Resort, Hilton Head Island:

Though Hurricane Irene threatened, she passed us by and we were able once again to enjoy a weekend @ the beach and seminars by Pastor Ron Lawhon.

Revival With Pastor Marty Carnegie:

The week in Athens Georgia was cold, but what God did during the services was Hot, Hot, Hot. We all enjoyed the presence of the Holy Spirit as God came in power. We started off with a discipleship meeting for the men on Saturday, and then went into six services with Pastor Marty. God moved powerfully, we had people saved, we had a good amount of visitors, we had healings, and many testimonies of God’s word bringing needed blessing. I met quite a number of new young men recently who have been added to the church. I was also moved by the number of young kids who responded to messages about seeking God. So often people have nothing encouraging to say about youth, but God is working in the youth of this church. Pastor LaValley and I spoke a lot during the week, it’s a blessing to hear a pastor who is unmoved by the circumstances, and still has a vision to touch not only his city, but the entire state of Georgia. On Saturday night the church had a reception for a recently married couple. The fellowship was good, and the food was great. Sister Cheryl mentioned the blessing of coming to Georgia to get the best Mexican food. God is bringing the world to Athens. During the last service, at the altar call two ladies answered the invitation to pray and told me afterwards they were from Jamaica. It’s always a happy day when you see the faithful saints from the early days, still keeping the faith. I spoke to many of the old timers, and they are still on fire for Jesus. God is building a mighty work in Athens, keep the saints from Georgia in prayer.
